I have made black salt myself. I used the charcoal method as it’s easier than gathering scrapings from a cast iron pot. I don’t have a cast iron pot or an open fire, so pretty difficult. I’ve also added the ashes left from protective incense.
Rice is a first for me. I’ve not seen that used, as it’s used the the article below. May have to try that one next time.
