Early Signs of a Haunting…

I spotted this blog post about spotting the early signs of a haunting.  Thought it was very interesting. I’ve encountered many of these myself. In one work place encountere sudden nasty smells that went as quickly as they arrived. And hidious feelings of not being alone. I myself have always sensed spirits and seen them too, I am a bit of a magnet and so they’ll  often gravitate to me and and as an empath I have felt their emotions, yes that is possible and it can be incredibly upsetting.

My old home was haunted by 3 spirits. One of which was very mischievous. He’d take things and return them to the same plays days, weeks and one item 2 years after it went missing. Other than that they weren’t bothersome. We’d here them walking around upstairs or hear a door close. I used to talk to them and light incense daily in their honour as they were pleasent souls.

I did get the odd passing soul, who’d visit. One that caused issues. I actually saw with my own eyes it throw something across my bedroom. My own spirit guardian (he used to be a house spirit and he latched onto me. I see him as my guide now) intervened. After that I put uo a protective barrier to keep anything negative away from my home.

Hope you enjoy this interesting article as I did.

Namastw and blessings

The haunting season is upon us. A few weeks ago I talked about the most common types of hauntings here . Today I am talking about signs and symptoms, the early stages of a haunting or ghostly presence. These are not all necessarily bad things, and often times we can coexist or even just live with it. […]

Feeling Blessed

Another beautiful spread of gratitude and growth…

It is so easy to forget how blessed we are. Life can be busy and fast passed and we get lost and wound up so much in our lives…we simply forget. Until we see someone less fortunate than ourselves. Then we’ll say how blessed we are.

Each day we should remember and be thankful. Even on our darkest of days we may well be more blessed than another. So remember to be thankful for each day you have. Show gratitude for the clothes on your back, the food on your plate and the roof over your head. Feel blessed for the love of your family (remember not all family are linked by DNA) and friends.

Such gratitude will give you strength and grounding too. And never forget some of your happiest days. Those days that seem almost perfect. Give yourself space, time alone on occasion to reflect on these and maybe see what you can being forward to now to help you to grow as an individual or maybe even improve upon what you did.

What ever you choose to do with such memories, be thankful for those too. Cherish all that you have, big or small.

Little Treasures – Charm Casting

About a week ago I spotted a post on one of my witchcraft groups on Facebook. It was regards to a post by the owner.of the group. She’d talked about her Charm Casting kit and how she was doing a course of the subject. I saw some of the pictures she shared of her charms and I was sucked in instantly.

I nipped onto Google to find out more.  It was shocking how drawn I was to this form of divination. I was utterly enchanted by the idea.

Next thing I know I was heading up stairs to see what I had in my charm collection.  Then a couple of day’s I found bags of assorted charms on ebay. One pack arrived today. I’ve another tomorrow. So excited.  Already I have found these little treasures singing to me as I pick them up and whisperinh their secrets too me. I cannot use these.  Very exciting.

I have a couple of favourites. The brass button for me signifies secrets and silence. My other favourite is the Besom which for me signifies cleansing and clearing out the rubbish. And the Life Ring which signifies being sent a lifeline of some kind. A rescue from something negative.

I hope to do an article about this in the future.

Your Comfort Zone

28th September 2017
Cards Used: Earth Magic Oracle, Botanical Inspirations and Woman’s Runes (visit Brigid’s Grove here to learn more about these beautiful runes)

This particular deck doesn’t often get intuitively chosen and it makes for an interesting spread…

A phrase popped into my head as I looked at these cards. ‘Comfort Zone’ which is reflected in the Rune of Limitations and the Rune of Self. We are all like this to varying degrees. We fear the unknown. What effect doing something we wouldn’t normally do would have on our selves and our lives.

But sometimes in order to progress forward as a person we need to bite the bullet and try. I see a number of steps towards this. Firstly knowing what ‘it’ is. It maybe something quiet simple such as going out to parties and letting your hair down, when normally such things worry you and so you wouldn’t go. Or as extreme as doing a parachute jump. Only you know what ‘it’ is. What you need to do now is say it out loud and ‘do’ it as we see in the Rune of Naming.

Until you do this you are going to remain tetchy and filled with an energy that has no where to go. You need a release. A kind of an explosion so to speak. Once this has happened you will move forward and progress as an individual because you have done this. And it will bring an emotional and almost spiritual healing and a feeling of lightness.

In order to move and live we must be thankful of who we are. Celebrate in what ever way that is. Saying “see! This is me and this is who I am and how I live!”. But do be aware that this movement may take time. Rome wasn’t built in a day as we see from the card Elegance & Patience. So take your time. Don’t rush. But don’t leave it hanging either.
